Terms of Service

Last updated: September 22, 2026

1. The agreement

These terms govern your use of FilePreserve, a Salesforce managed package made and operated by Georgina Hawley ("we," "us," "FilePreserve"). By installing or using FilePreserve, you agree to these terms. If you're installing on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have the authority to agree on that organization's behalf.

2. What FilePreserve is

FilePreserve archives Salesforce files to cut active storage costs, enforces retention/legal-hold rules and configurable disposal behavior, and lets you merge and export files across any related list on selected records into one audit-ready PDF on demand — including archived files, which are pulled back in automatically when selected. It runs entirely inside your own Salesforce organization and stores archived files in an AWS S3 bucket you create and control. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what data it touches and where it lives.

3. Plans and billing

  • $499/month, billed per Salesforce org — flat rate, no per-seat pricing, no usage-based fees on top, billed monthly in advance via Stripe once you're set up.
  • Billing is tied to your org's identity and is set up after installation, from inside the app — not as a standalone website purchase before you've installed the package.
  • You can cancel at any time through your billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period.
  • We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
  • Prices may change with reasonable advance notice to active subscribers; changes won't apply retroactively to a period you've already paid for.

4. Where your data lives

Your Salesforce record data never leaves your Salesforce org. Your archived files are stored in an AWS S3 bucket in your own AWS account, not FilePreserve's infrastructure — we don't host, proxy, or retain a separate copy of your archived files. You're responsible for your own AWS account and its associated costs (S3 storage, requests) at AWS's standard rates; those charges are billed to you directly by AWS, separately from your FilePreserve subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use FilePreserve for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates the rights of others.
  • Attempt to circumvent org-level licensing or access controls through technical means.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or resell access to FilePreserve outside of normal use inside your own Salesforce org.
  • Use FilePreserve in a way that could disrupt or damage Salesforce's platform, AWS's platform, or other customers' use of either.

6. Support

Support is provided on a best-effort basis by a single independent operator, not a dedicated support team — typical response time is 1–2 business days via hello@filepreserve.com. FilePreserve does not currently carry a guaranteed uptime or response-time SLA beyond this best-effort commitment; if that changes for a specific customer, it will be documented in a separate written agreement with that customer.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep FilePreserve available and working reliably, but as a small, independently operated product we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update, modify, or discontinue features over time; if we discontinue FilePreserve entirely, we'll give active subscribers reasonable advance notice. Because your record data and archived files already live in your own Salesforce org and your own AWS account, discontinuation doesn't put your underlying data at risk of loss on our end.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

FilePreserve is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. FilePreserve is a tool to help you manage retention, archiving, and disposal of files according to configuration you control — you remain responsible for determining whether your own configuration meets your organization's actual regulatory and legal obligations (FDA, CMS, or otherwise). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of FilePreserve, including damages related to regulatory compliance outcomes. Our total liability for any claim relating to FilePreserve is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify active subscribers by email. Continued use of FilePreserve after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

10. Contact
